But you won’t need to see it because you will try to shoot something and you will kill yourself when you hit it. There’s also a very high chance that there may be the tiniest pixel of ground left in the wake of a massive explosion, too small to see. There’s a training exercise for all of your basic weapons but that just lets you get used to them as opposed to giving you some tricks to not have your grenade end up bouncing around the whole damn map nine times out of ten. The vehicle controls are equally frustrating and you will find yourself stuck in a hole more often than not. Aiming any of the dozen weapons you have is a chore. Walking your worm into appropriate firing position is a chore and more frustrating than anything. It’s 20ish years after the first Worms game came out and even with all the additions, the series really hasn’t changed that much. Now, let’s go back to the question I posed earlier. ![]() that much different than the game that I played on floppy disk all those years ago? The newest entry in the long standing franchise, brings lots of new things to the table like crafting, some neat vehicles and a bevy of weapons to inflict pain with, but when I take a step back and look at it, is W.M.D. This story does more than just date me, it’s also a lead into 2016’s entry, Worms W.M.D. Whether it was playing by myself and napalming half a dozen CPU worms or sitting side by side with a friend and getting endless joy out of hitting his worm in the face with a baseball bat, the goofy slapstick violence was a constant source of entertainment for me. When it would come time for me to get my turn on the computer, almost without fail, I would pop in Worms and begin the turned based chaotic joy that the game always brought me. Seriously, why is rope on f7, and parachute on f2? It's sooo dumb.Way back when I was in middle school, it was the time when computers were just on the rise and my school only had one of them that everyone shared. Oh yeah we also need to be able to assign weapons to fkeys as we want, because the default key bindings are annoying as hell for old school players. then they'd have a pretty good game on their hands. If Team17 would release an update that adds a ton of weapons and ultilies from previous titles, makes it so that all weapons (including craftables) are able to be added as starting inventory in schemes (complete with crate drop probabilities, weapon damage editing, etc), AND if they re-designed the weapons panel. The whole time I'm playing I can't help but think "the game would be so much better if it had THIS weapon, and THAT weapon" Until some issues get addressed in WMD (primarily customization options) and more content gets added to the game, I have a hard time enjoying it. ![]() Classes were a great idea for the series IMO and dynamic water is awesome, aside from the lag it causes sometimes. Aside from that it's a very solid title with great gameplay. The notorious winged monkey glitch is also super annoying too. ![]() I dunno how many times my worm has gotten stuck inside of a sentry gun, magnet, or a drain plug. One of the biggest issues with CW is the glitchiness involved with objects. Roping in CW is actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it, but it's totally different since you can shoot the rope out at many angles. I think that CW fixed a lot of the problems present in Revolution. If anything I dislike Rev, Clan for the lack of a roping scene all together and the strange 2.5d Sure its one of the more casual titles and a lot of bugs, but the core strategic elements of worms and honing your skills were there, I will agree the aiming was quite limited with the wind, but the rope could very much be mastered.
